At the Edgefield County Youth Empowerment Center, we believe that every student—and their families—can achieve excellence with the right support and guidance. Our nonprofit organization is committed to providing children in rural communities with opportunities to reach their academic goals and realize their full potent
At the Edgefield County Youth Empowerment Center, we have a proven track record of success. Through our leadership programs, students consistently improve their grades and test scores, with many continuing on to higher education at top universities, entering the workforce, launching their own businesses, or serving in the military.
We acknowledge that each student possesses distinct strengths and developmental needs. Therefore, we offer a diverse range of programs designed to address individual goals. From academic support and STEAM initiatives to artistic enrichment and confidence-building opportunities, we are committed to assisting working families and fostering the growth of young minds year-round.
Our team is deeply passionate about education and committed to empowering not only youth but also their parents. Our programs provide parents with practical tools, proven strategies, and ongoing support to help them navigate the everyday challenges of raising children effectively.
In collaboration with NASA Astro Camp, we created an immersive, hands-on learning experience designed to spark curiosity and empower the next generation of innovators and changemakers. This program introduces S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) concepts through dynamic, interactive projects that encourage exploration, critical thinking, and creativity.
We want students to build leadership skills, self-confidence and positive decision-making habits in every next step of life. By the end of this program, they will walk away with a strong sense of identity, purpose, emotional resilience and social awareness.
Our youth center designed this 3-month program to equip teens and young adults with skills to excel both academically and professionally. We are open to middle, high school and college students, so you can receive the academic support to reach your goals.
We're committed to your success. That's why we offer personalized support and guidance throughout your educational journey. Whether you need help with a specific assignment or guidance on study skills, we're here to help.
We are committed to helping young girls grow into confident and capable individuals. Our Girls Circle program empowers them to overcome social barriers that may hinder their growth and development, fostering resilience, self-esteem, and positive connections.
We believe every parent should have access to the knowledge and resources essential for their child’s success. Our programs are designed to provide parents with a strong foundation for building positive relationships and creating a pathway toward a brighter future.
Just send us a quick message and we will help you get started with the rest!
The Empower ME Gala serves as a meaningful social event for teenagers and young adults, providing a safe and uplifting space for connection and dialogue. Designed especially with young women in mind, the gala encourages girls to engage with one another, build supportive peer relationships, and foster open communication in ways they may not feel comfortable doing with adults.
By creating an environment that celebrates their voices and experiences, the gala helps bridge gaps in communication, strengthens peer support networks, and inspires participants to share their stories, learn from one another, and grow together as future leaders and changemakers.
The Empower ME to Rebuild Initiative is dedicated to providing direct, on-the-ground support during times of crisis. We respond swiftly and compassionately to communities in need, ensuring they have access to essential resources for immediate relief and long-term recovery.
